St. Timothy parishioners help staff the Glade Valley Community Services Thrift Shop.  The Thrift Shop is located in the basement of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Parish Hall at 19 West Pennsylvania Avenue. The Thrift Shop is open most Saturdays from 10:00am to 2:00pm. Clients can purchase bags of clothing for $2.00 a bag. Coats are $1.00 and shoes are free.

There is competition in our area for gently used clothes, with the many yellow and blue boxes popping up in the area, as well as the recent opening of the Goodwill Store in the Discovery Shopping Center.

If you are considering donating new or gently used clothing  please consider donating them to the Glade Valley Community Thrift Shop. Our clothes drop boxes (green in color) are located at the entrance to the St. Paul’s Parish Hall parking lot, at the Walkersville gas station at the intersection of Rte. 194 and Sandstone Drive (Valero), and at Troutville Home Repairs, 308 Main Street, in Woodsboro.
