St. Vincent de Paul Conference

St. Timothy’s St. Vincent DePaul Conference of the St. Vincent de Paul Society is one way in which St. Timothy Parish provides outreach to the wider community.  The Conference, in collaboration with the Religious Coalition For Emergency Human Needs, and other church and social services organizations,  provides emergency financial assistance to families and individuals in the local community who are facing emergency situations (e.g.. with evictions, rent, utilities). The Offices are currently located at St John’s Catholic Church in Downtown Frederick. Please call their office for assistance.

The Society’s mission is three-fold: holiness of its membersfriendship among its members, and service toward others.

Members of the Society, called Vincentians, meet with Frederick County residents who need financial assistance to meet emergency needs like evictions, utility terminations, obtaining prescriptions, getting an I.D., putting gas in the car to get to the doctor, etc.

Donations from the weekly Poor Box, and from other parishes in the county, provide the funding to assist our neighbors in need.

If you’d like more information, email us at or call 301-662-4676 and speak to a Vincentian.

You’re always welcome to come into the office and observe our work.

In addition to emergency assistance, the conference also coordinates St. Timothy Parish donations to the Glade Valley Community Services, Inc. Back-To-School Project and the Christmas Holiday Toy Shop, as well as donations to the Cold Weather Shelter operated by the Religious Coalition For Emergency Human Needs.
