Adult catechesis
has been described as the summit of
the entire catechetical enterprise. This is because it is
adult Catholics who are capable of a mature faith that is
living, explicit, and fruitful. The person of mature faith
knows the gift of salvation revealed in Jesus and strives
to join in living that mystery by working for a just
world.
Because our parish is constantly becoming more
diverse, and thereby better reflecting the universal
Church, is essential to respect different learning styles,
life experiences and stages of life of the parishioners. It
is a challenge to provide a wide range of diverse
learning opportunities in which parishioners will deepen
their knowledge of the catholic faith, their
understanding and participation in prayer and liturgy,
their theoretical and concrete moral response, their
involvement in the parish community as well as their
zeal to share their faith with others.
