Divorced and Separated Catholics

There are many misconceptions about the Catholic Church and issues relating to divorced and separated Catholics.  One of the most troubling of these misconceptions is the perception that divorced or separated Catholics are no longer welcome as members of the Church.

This perception is simply untrue, but has resulted in many people turning from their true faith in favor of a "more welcoming" faith community.

While these people have suffered a clear loss by feeling alienated from their faith family, an equally profound loss has been suffered by the Catholic faith community at large, which has endured the absence of a significant number of its brothers and sisters.

As a warm, welcoming, loving community of faith believers, Saint Timothy parish would like to reach out to those who may perceive themselves as being anything less than complete members of our family and tell you that your perception is simply untrue.  You are welcome here.  We look forward to worshiping with you and welcoming you home.
